HS Code Documentation
Browse the Harmonized System taxonomy by section and chapter. Every code carries its official description, subheadings, and the duty rates resolved across trade corridors.
What is an HS code?
A Harmonized System (HS) code is a standardized numerical classification for traded goods, maintained by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and used by customs authorities worldwide. Codes are at least six digits, nested as chapter (2 digits), heading (4 digits), and subheading (6 digits); individual countries append further national digits. A duty rate is the import tax, expressed as a percentage, levied on goods classified under a given code.
